The overall objective of this consultancy is the facilitation of the collaborative development process of a National Strategic Plan for HIV/AIDS Surveillance in Southern Sudan. Based upon the National Strategic Framework for HIV/AIDS in Southern Sudan (SSAC, 2008), the National HIV M&E Framework (2008, SSAC-under development) and the Round 4 Global Fund HIV/AIDS project “HIV/AIDS Prevention & Care in Southern Sudan,” the plan will be developed with the specific purpose of guiding the Ministry of Health HIV/AIDS Directorate-Surveillance Section.
The Surveillance plan will consolidate existing activities in Surveillance, provide a detailed road map for continued expansion of sentinel surveillance sites, outline strategy for capacity-building, methodology, analysis, frequency, target groups and planning within the area of HIV/AIDS Surveillance for 2008-2012.
